Qatar Rail records over three million metro users during AFC Asian Cup 2023 – Doha News

Through the first fourteen days of the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qatar, over 3.1 million passengers used the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram for transportation.

Qatar Railways Firm (Qatar Rail) introduced that the entire variety of passengers who used the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram through the group stage of the Asian Cup Qatar 2023 exceeded 3.1 million, with three million passengers utilizing the metro and 113,000 passengers utilizing the tram.

From the group stage dates of the event, January 12 to January 25, Qatar railed expressed that the entire variety of journeys to and from the stadiums amounted to 535,000.

The proportion of followers utilizing the metro for transportation to the 9 event stadiums reached 29 %.

In distinction, the proportion of these utilizing the metro for entry to stadiums inside strolling distance from the metro community was 35 %.

Qatar Rail highlighted that the busiest stations through the group stage had been Msheireb, DECC, and Souq Waqif.

The Doha Metro is immediately linked to 5 of the 9 stadiums that had been constructed for the Qatar World Cup 2022.
