Etihad Rail secures key global partnerships to boost infrastructure

Etihad Rail, the UAE’s nationwide railway community developer and operator, not too long ago signed key agreements with worldwide corporations on the latest International Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition & Convention (International Rail) 2024 in Abu Dhabi.

The exhibition was a results of a collaboration between Etihad Rail, the UAE Ministry of Power and Infrastructure (MOEI), ADNEC Group and dmg occasions.

The agreements signed replicate Etihad Rail’s strategic dedication to fostering innovation and digital transformation in rail infrastructure.

Key agreements signed by Etihad Rail

An MoU was signed with Presight AI to discover AI-driven options throughout Etihad Rail’s operations. The collaboration will deal with enhancing operational effectivity, productiveness, and total digital transformation.
Etihad Rail inked a cope with RITES, an Indian public-sector transportation enterprise, to foster information change and collaboration in railway growth, together with the availability and leasing of rolling inventory and consultancy for infrastructure initiatives within the UAE and past.
A partnership with Korea Nationwide Railway (KNR) and Korea Railroad Company (KORAIL) was solid to reinforce technical exchanges and cooperation in railway development, mission administration, and operations, setting the stage for groundbreaking developments in rail infrastructure.
Etihad Rail signed an MoU with the Austrian Federal Financial Chamber to discover collaboration on railway planning, development, operation, and upkeep, alongside sustainable practices and technological innovation.
A big MoU with LTTS was signed to discover the creation of a Nationwide Mobility Innovation Centre in Abu Dhabi. This initiative will speed up analysis and the event of cutting-edge transportation options, with a deal with sustainability and clever mobility.
The partnership with IronLev will discover the potential integration of magnetic levitation (maglev) expertise, enabling sooner, energy-efficient, and smoother transportation for the UAE’s rail operations.
An MoU with European deep-tech firm Nevomo will deal with the appliance of autonomous rail options, notably leveraging Nevomo’s Magrail Booster Expertise to reinforce freight operations within the UAE.
Hitachi Rail and Etihad Rail signed an MoU to collaborate on the event of superior communication methods, cybersecurity options, and the combination of mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) expertise into the UAE’s rail community.
A partnership with Singapore’s SBS Transit goals to leverage mobility options and AI purposes, exploring how these improvements can help the longer term growth of the UAE’s railway sector.
