Trains will run every day

Deal enhances UAE-Oman commerce

Noatum Logistics, a subsidiary of AD Ports Group, and Hafeet Rail are to determine a freight rail service between Sohar in Oman, and Abu Dhabi.

Noatum will function the service as soon as Hafeet Rail’s community is accomplished.

Seven container trains will run per week, every with a capability of 276 twenty-foot equal models (TEUs). The goal is an annual throughput of 193,200 TEUs, the state-run Abu Dhabi Media Workplace reported.

There might be trains for 20, 40 and 45-foot containers, carrying normal cargo, manufactured items, meals merchandise, prescription drugs, agrifoods and different important provides.

In September 2024 Noatum Logistics launched a rail shuttle service connecting Khalifa Port to Fujairah Terminals, utilizing the UAE’s nationwide railway system developed by Etihad Rail.

AD Ports acquired Noatum, a Spain-based built-in logistics firm, for AED2.5 billion ($680 million) in November 2022.
