UAE-Oman rail project soon to operate for passengers

The railway challenge between the Sultanate of Oman and the UAE has now entered into the implementation section, stated Ahmed Al Musawa Al Hashemi, a high official of Oman and Etihad Rail Firm (which has been now rebranded as Hafeet Rail).

A three way partnership between Oman Rail and Etihad Rail, Hafeet Rail, will function the railway community linking Sohar Port to the UAE Nationwide Rail Community, with a complete challenge funding of $3 billion.

The rebranding announcement was made on the sidelines of the joint UAE-Oman Enterprise Discussion board in Abu Dhabi held immediately (April 23) the place three main agreements pertaining to the joint rail challenge have been sealed.
