Oaminal Speech was Occidental.

The provincial governor of Misamis Occidental in the Philippines has invited Qatari traders to discover transportation alternatives in Northern Mindanao, notably the revival of the Mindanao Railway Venture (MRP), as half of a broader push to strengthen bilateral ties by way of commerce and tourism.

Governor Henry S Oaminal informed Gulf Occasions in an unique interview that the Provincial Authorities of Misamis Occidental considers transportation as a precedence sector, alongside tourism and agriculture.

Oaminal was in Doha not too long ago as half of a enterprise delegation comprising officers of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Trade (PCCI) and the Mindanao Growth Authority (MinDA). Alongside the Philippine Embassy in Qatar, the delegation held conferences with non-public and public sector entities, together with Qatar Chamber, the Ministry of Commerce and Trade, Qatar Funding Authority (QIA), and Qatari Diar, amongst others.

“Transportation is one of the funding areas of focus that we’ve recognized apart from tourism. We’ve heard that Qatari traders are  in alternatives in the transportation sector, and since we are reviving the Mindanao Railway Venture, this is one space that may be explored with them,” Oaminal defined.

He additional stated the delegation exchanges would be a mechanism to discover these alternatives: “It can go hand in hand; the commerce relationship can be posted to improve one’s financial system, notably in my residence province of Misamis Occidental in Mindanao.

“It’s a growing province. We have robust potential for commerce and funding, as properly as in agriculture. There are additionally alternatives in tourism as a result of of the ongoing developments we have in different locations like our mountains and coastal areas.”

Oaminal stated: “We can discover the conduct of an inbound mission from Qatar to Mindanao, notably in Northern Mindanao and our province, and vice versa, so that we can forge and promote commerce and tourism relations.”

Oaminal additionally confirmed that meals safety and agriculture are additionally half of the funding agenda: “We have dairy farms in Mindanao that Qatari traders can go to to discover funding alternatives in this sector, so agriculture and dairy farms are promising areas that we are keen to focus on with potential non-public and public entities in the future.”

The governor famous that the delegation from MinDA held discussions with Qatari journey operators, with plans to invite them to Mindanao for a journey operators conference, which the provincial authorities and MinDA will organise. “And in return, we plan to ship a delegation from Misamis Occidental to Qatar to discover the many potentialities the place we can set up good enterprise relationships, not solely in commerce however in all features,” he emphasised.
