Oman–UAE Railway project receives first shipment of tracks

Muscat – The developer of the Oman–UAE Railway Community has obtained the primary cargo of railway tracks at SOHAR Port and Freezone, marking a key step within the building of the cross-border mission.

Hafeet Rail, which is growing and working the 238km community, obtained greater than 3,800 items of E260 tracks by means of the Common Cargo Terminal operated by C Steinweg Oman. Every monitor measures 25m, with the cargo weighing 5,700 tonnes in complete. The supply is a part of a deliberate provide of 33,100 tonnes.

The tracks have been manufactured at ArcelorMittal’s facility in Gijón, Spain. Designed to face up to freight and passenger a great deal of as much as 32.4 tonnes per axle, these are strengthened with fastening techniques to make sure sturdiness underneath demanding circumstances.
