Noatum Logistics, a part of AD Ports Group, has signed a preliminary settlement with Hafeet Rail to ascertain a devoted freight rail service between Sohar, Oman, and Abu Dhabi, UAE. The deal was introduced on the International Rail 2025 exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
The deliberate service will function seven container trains per week, every carrying 276 TEUs, focusing on an annual throughput of roughly 193,200 TEUs. The service will deal with 20ft, 40ft, and 45ft containers, overlaying common cargo, manufactured items, meals merchandise, prescribed drugs, and agrifoods.
Samir Chaturvedi, CEO of Noatum Logistics, stated the partnership strengthens regional provide chains, allows sustainable transport, and helps UAE-Oman financial integration. Ahmed Al Musawa Al Hashemi, CEO of Hafeet Rail, highlighted the service’s position in enhancing cross-border container transport effectivity and sustainability.
Rail freight presents a greener, cost-effective different to street transport, shifting massive volumes with decrease gasoline consumption and decreased carbon emissions. The settlement builds on Hafeet Rail’s present shuttle service between Khalifa Port and Fujairah Terminals, launched in Q3 2024, positioning the railway as a key driver of regional integration and sustainable logistics.
