BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 6. Masdar, a worldwide
chief in clear vitality and inexperienced hydrogen, and Etihad Rail, the
developer and operator of the UAE’s nationwide railway community, have
signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to discover transport
options for the inexperienced hydrogen worth chain throughout the nation,
Pattern studies.

The partnership goals to leverage Etihad Rail’s increasing
nationwide community to maneuver feedstocks and merchandise alongside the inexperienced
hydrogen and derivatives worth chain, together with hydrogen, ammonia,
methanol, and sustainable aviation gasoline.

The signing happened through the World Rail Transport and
Infrastructure Exhibition and Convention in Abu Dhabi, with His
Excellency Shadi Malak, CEO of Etihad Rail, and Mohamed Jameel Al
Ramahi, CEO of Masdar, witnessing the ceremony. The MoU was signed
by Dr. Faye Al Hersh, Affiliate Director, Growth UAE, Masdar,
and Adhraa Almansoori, Director of Public Coverage & Sustainability,
Etihad Rail.

H.E. Shadi Malak stated, “This collaboration with Masdar
underscores the position of rail because the spine of sustainable
logistics within the UAE. Our community will present the essential
infrastructure to maneuver inexperienced hydrogen and its derivatives at scale,
supporting innovation, vitality safety, and long-term financial
development.”

Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi added, “This strategic partnership
strikes us nearer to delivering inexperienced hydrogen and spinoff
merchandise at industrial scale. Collaborations like this can assist
construct the inexperienced hydrogen worth chain, help the UAE’s
decarbonization efforts, and drive sustainable socioeconomic
development.”

Masdar is concentrating on international management in inexperienced hydrogen
manufacturing and derivatives by 2030, creating industrial initiatives
and scalable platforms in key markets worldwide. Etihad Rail
at present operates freight providers connecting industrial zones and
ports, with passenger providers anticipated to launch in 2026.

The collaboration aligns with Abu Dhabi’s Low-Carbon Hydrogen
Coverage and the UAE Nationwide Hydrogen Technique 2050, which goal to
set up the nation as a serious low-emission hydrogen producer by
2031, decreasing emissions in hard-to-abate sectors corresponding to
transport, chemical substances, fertilizers, and metals together with aluminum,
iron, and metal.
