Bahrain To Complete 109-km Light Metro Rail Bids On Mar 20

BAHRAIN CONFIRMS THE FIRST PHASE OF THE AMBITIOUS METRO RAIL PROJECT

BAHRAIN (Metro Rail Information): Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications is able to finalise the tender for building of a light-weight railway community spanning round 105 kilometres in subsequent coming month March 2020. The tender was launched on thirteenth Feb final 12 months.

Spanish consulting firm IDOM offered the design in Feb 2018 for Section-I of the Bahrain Gentle Metro mission. This mission is the part of Bahrain’s City Transit Community Venture (BUTN) community that consists of a complete of 4 metro strains protecting a complete community of 109 km.

After the analysis of Bids given by eight world consultancy companies, KPMG was developed because the lowest bidder and chosen for offering consultancy companies for Section-I of the Bahrain Metro Venture in November 2019. The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications had introduced the appointment of KPMG as probably the most economical bidder.

Out of the eight bids taken three firms – Zayani Engineering, KPMG and PriceWaterCoopers – have remained within the race. Bids from Deloitte and Ernst & Younger have been discarded, in addition to three different bidders.

The advisor is at present offering monetary, technical and authorized consultancy companies to the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications for the preparation of paperwork, tender, analysis and appointment of the popular bidder for building.

The Bahrain Metro is a very automated, driverless system that can function by the principle residential, administration, enterprise, leisure spots within the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Crimson and Blue strains to be constructed in Section-I of Bahrain Metro will run for a complete of 28.6 km. The Crimson Line will hyperlink Bahrain Worldwide Airport with the suburban Seef District by the Bahrain Monetary Harbour, following 9 stations. Whereas the Blue Line will start from the Juffair suburb and undergo the Diplomatic Space earlier than ending at Isa City, serving 11 stations.

The 2 strains will interconnect on the Bab al Bahrain and al Farooq Junction stations.
