Luxembourg-based steelmaker ArcelorMittal has introduced that its subsidiary ArcelorMittal Rails and Particular Sections has dispatched the primary cargo of rails for the Oman-United Arab Emirates (UAE) railway challenge, marking a key milestone within the growth of the area’s first cross-border rail community.

The preliminary supply was produced at ArcelorMittal’s Gijón facility in Spain and acquired on the port in August 2025. It consisted of three,800 rails within the 60E2 profile, R260 grade, every measuring 25 m in size, with a complete weight of 5,700 mt.
