Luxurious practice journey is having a second. All over the world, a number of new and revamped practice providers have captured the worldwide urge for food for sluggish journey. The Center East is about to get its first luxurious practice service with the launch of Saudi Arabia’s Dream of the Desert.

Set to take passengers on a journey by way of Saudi Arabia’s huge desert landscapes, the service is on monitor to make its inaugural journey by the tip of 2026. Departing from the Saudi capital Riyadh, Dream of the Desert will run on 1,300 kilometres of present railway strains from the capital Riyadh to Al Qurayyat within the northern province of Al Jawf, taking in a few of the nation’s most breathtaking pure surroundings alongside the best way. The deliberate one- to two-day route takes in Al Qassim, Hail and Al Jouf, on the sting of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Nature Reserve, earlier than it terminates some 30km from the border with Jordan.

Manufactured by the Italian hospitality firm Arsenale Group and commissioned by Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR), Dream of the Desert’s 14 carriages will encompass 34 luxurious suites. A primary take a look at the interiors, designed by Lebanese architect Aline Asmar d’Amman, exhibits opulent gold-laden ceilings, tile-fronted bars, wealthy velvet banquettes and touches of Saudi custom. Reception areas have been impressed by majlis settings, adorned with intricately carved wooden and shades impressed by the desert sands. Particular artwork items showcasing Saudi heritage and tradition are being commissioned to hold within the practice’s corridors, with menus will probably be created by native and worldwide cooks.
