Kenya has revealed ongoing discussions with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to increase its Customary Gauge Railway (SGR) to Uganda and South Sudan.

President William Ruto shared the announcement in a publish on X, stating:

“We’re exploring a partnership settlement with the United Arab Emirates to increase the Customary Gauge Railway to attach Kenya, Uganda, and South Sudan.”
