HE the Minister of Transport Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla bin Mohammed al-Thani, accompanied by HE the Managing Director and CEO of Qatar Railways Firm (Qatar Rail) Dr Abdulla bin Abdulaziz al-Subaie, on Monday inaugurated the Turquoise Line of the Lusail Tram Community. Senior officers from the Ministry of Transport (MoT)and Qatar Rail have been additionally current on the event.

In keeping with a MoT assertion, the minister toured a number of stations alongside the Turquoise Line, the Operations Management Centre (OCC) and upkeep amenities on the Tram Depot situated west of Lusail Metropolis.

He was briefed on the most recent updates in operations and the important thing function of the OCC and superior upkeep amenities in guaranteeing the protected operation of the tram and offering a seamless and dependable journey expertise for Lusail Metropolis’s residents in addition to guests.This milestone aligns with MoT’s efforts to develop Lusail Tram providers, improve the general public transport system in Lusail Metropolis, and help its technique to develop a contemporary and sustainable public transportation community.

The opening of the Turquoise Line introduces the Lusail QNB Interchange station, which now operates alongside Legtaifiya station. These key hubs enable seamless connectivity between the Doha Metro and the Lusail Tram networks, providing passengers a clean and environment friendly journey expertise to numerous locations.

Passengers can use their journey playing cards to entry each the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram networks and supporting providers akin to metrolink and metroexpress. Qatar Rail has reminded all customers to “Faucet in” and “Faucet Out” at tram validators for a hassle-free journey.

The record of Turquoise Line stations which have began operations consists of: Lusail QNB, Al Yasmeen, Fox Hills — South, Downtown Lusail, Al Khayl Road, Fox Hills — North, Crescent Park — North, Rawdat Lusail, Erkiyah and Lusail Stadium. The Grand Masjed station might be operational later with an announcement forthcoming.

The Turquoise and Orange Strains share 9 stations together with Al Yasmeen, Fox Hills — South, Downtown Lusail, Al Khayl Road, Fox Hills — North, Crescent Park — North, Rawdat Lusail, Erkiyah, and Lusail Stadium.
