Hitachi Rail to Provide Communication Systems for Etihad Rail

Hitachi Rail to deliver mobility-as-a-service solution for Etihad Rail

Hitachi Rail has been chosen because the grasp programs integrator for Etihad Rail’s first passenger rail service within the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Hitachi Rail’s digital platform, leveraging AI expertise, will enhance station administration and passenger security, enhancing the general journey expertise.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has additionally been signed between Hitachi Rail and Etihad Rail to develop future digital options, reinforcing their collaborative efforts within the area.

Benoît Couture, Vice-President of Built-in Communication and Supervision Options (ICS) at Hitachi Rail, mentioned:

“Our digital experience will allow us to combine all key telecom and supervision applied sciences into one present platform for the Etihad Rail Passenger Stations mission, a transformative initiative for the UAE. Our superior telecom programs will improve security and effectivity, serving to to attach all Emirates and supporting sustainable transport objectives.”

Etihad Rail will considerably cut back commute instances between the UAE’s emirates and key cities, contributing to the nation’s Internet Zero 2050 initiative.

As soon as operational, the community is predicted to move as much as 36.5 million passengers yearly by 2030.
